He'll be working in Northridge, on Balboa. He needs a nice apt.(meaning a safe neighborhood within a decent driving distance to work.) He's 30 and single, and wants to live in an area that caters to his age group. He has no clue what to look for. You can pm m
e.

1. Born and raised in the SF Valley
I never knew there to be areas that catered to age groups, but there are plenty of ethnic areas and rich vs. poor areas. The valley is just a huge melting pot. I'd say if he's looking for youth, nightlife, and social type activities, then he should stick close to Ventura Blvd, close to Barham, or even look in Hollywood areas. Commuting there sucks, and unless he gets a place a few miles from work, he'll deal with a commute every day.

I lived at the top of Tampa in Northridge for many years, and the only reason I go back now is to visit Grandma in Burbank (and Burbank might actually be a good place to look too. They're not considered the "valley")

:)

2. He was directed to the Woodland Hills area...
He didn't like the congestion there. He's now looking in the Simi Valley area, and around Thousand Oaks. I know, it's expensive, but there seems to be a few complexes in his range. He's staying with our friends in Westlake Village.

3. Those are nice areas
I lived in Agoura for a few years and really like that area. "Slimy Valley" is a place I would stay clear of, but that's just me. :)

Nothing beats San Diego, though...

4. He just found a place..
It's between Simi Valley (slimey?) and Thousand Oaks, near a golf course. He's happy with it, so that's what counts. I told him he was a little close to Reaganland, but he likes the area.
