NPR: Colorado voter registration way up? |
|
I hope I didn't hear this wrong. Please correct me if I didn't get it right. But early this morning, I heard that our Colorado voter registration is up by 90,000+ since only March. This way outstrips the registration we saw in a recent period that spanned several years.
I don't have the exact statement. But it was on the NPR station for Denver metro. Sounds like major good news since Dems are likely to benefit from this. We're the energized party and Colorado is now a swing state.
Recently, my husband and I went to Soopers around 9 p.m. There was an elderly couple outside signing people up for mail-in ballots. They said they'd been there most of the day. They looked so tired but were as dedicated as it gets. God bless them whoever they are! Just thought to tell you guys about them.

...the state is pretty much split in thirds - one-third GOP, one-third Democrat, and one-third independent or third-party. The GOP may have more registrations than us, but we can win if we can attract independent and third-party voters.
