Prairie Falcon Parkway Express "SuperSlab"
Residents fight plans for a super highway
written by Adam Schrager 9NEWS Reporter
posted by Dan Boniface Web Producer

The Prairie Falcon Parkway proposes building a road from Fort Collins to Pueblo, and moving rail lines and utilities into a 3-mile wide corridor. Four thousand land owners received notices last month from Prairie Falcon that their land was in the corridor.

"I love my property. I have horses, a garden. I just like the open prairie," said Adams County resident Cindy Buelinski, who helped arrange the meeting at the VFW Hall in Bennett. "It wasn't really in any of our game plans to have a super-highway, rail lines and utilities run through or near our properties, so we're here because we don't want that."

Buelinski's 35-acre mini-ranch is within the proposed corridor.

"Even if it doesn't cut through my property, I'll hear it," Buelinski said. "I just don't want it."
