1. Mike Miles, if he doesn't win the Senate nomination. |
|
Personally, I think he'd be a better governor than Senator.

He enspouses the spirit of Howard Brush Dean III. Also, my neighbors are committed Miles voter.

3. Do you think that he could win? |
|
Many have misgivings because he is "too liberal" for the state.

12. Well, give it some thought |
|
Look at all the complaints, month after month, on DU about DEMs without spines, who let us down time after time.
Here we have a GREAT opportunity to be represented by someone who we KNOW would have the integrity to stand with those few Dems with spine, and stop the continual erosion of this nation.
Yet, we hide, once again, in fear.
If Colorado Dems go ahead and elect Salazar, I DO NOT want to hear their complaints later about spineless Dems in Washington.
At some point, we have to take responsibility for the wimpiness of Congress, and quit this damned copout. WE are the ones who are deciding who is going to represent us.
NOW, after thinking about that for a while, remember that Mike has done quite well in Colorado Springs, not exactly a haven of the "libruls". He has a LOT OF SUPPORT among those who are moderate and more conservative, because he is speaking to the important issues, and not just posturing.
So, if you really want to think about the "too liberal" charge, there you have it.
Otherwise.....

7. Amazing. I'd say just the opposite. |
|
Salazar knows Colorado politics really well; Miles knows international politics and the international situation far better, and that's more useful to us in congress.
But i'd be happy with Miles as Gov. Or Salazar.
Though I'd also like Stephanie Takis.

4. My guess is that you'll get stuck with |
|
Ben Nightmare Campbell, even though he was on the right side of the FMA vote. He's not running for reelection to the Senate, and he'll be looking for another gig.

Campbell has skeletons and he is in his Seventies now. He won't run for governor.

Salazar would be MUCH better off running for Governor against the right-wing nut Norton.

10. Salazar would be an excellent Governor |
|
...but he's running for Senate, and frankly I think he'll win.
I do agree though, Miles is better suited for the Senate with his international experience; but I also think the support he's shown would give him a leg up in a governor's race.

11. If we can place a Dem in Nighthorses' seat |
|
we may well see a shift in our state that would make it very possible for either Miles or Salazar to capture the governorship. This prospect is well underway!
