Owens legacy: Car towing crooks getting away with breaking the law.
Channel 7 has been running a story about a car towing operation that is breaking the law by not allowing people to legally demand that the tow be dropped for a drop charge of $64 or less.

According to the story 27% of all complaints against car towing companies is against this one company. They also interviewed Doug Dean who was placed at the head of the Public Utilities Commission by Governor Owens. Dean has done nothing to protect Coloradoans from these crooks.

Doug Dean? Oh, he's a real GOPer: a nasty Speaker of the House who was a real nut job. Then he went on to become the commissioner of Insurance (the Peter Principle at work.) His girlfriend was a lobbyist for the insurance industry. (Sleeping with the lobbyists?) His fame came out of an incident in which he tried to break into his girlfriend's house and was caught running down the street with a screw driver.

This shows the danger of voting Republican: you can never get rid of them, their incompetence, or their crack-pot ways.
