| I got John Edwards to sign one of my rally signs today. |

I got to the front row of the rally today. I got to shake Elizabeth Edwards' hand, got to shake Teresa Heinz Kerry's hand. I got John Edwards to sign one of my rally signs. Didn't get to shake Kerry's hand because he was trying to get to shake the hands of the people above me, but I got to shake Kerry's hand at the last rally anyway. The thing is, when Kerry stood on something to reach the people above me, he was almost literally on top of me.
As for the Edwards bit, I was smashed against a wall and Edwards take my rally sign to sign it. And once he did and gave it back, I said "Thank you sir." I grunted a little when I said it because I was sandwiched against the wall. I had a really sheepish look on my face and he just looked at me and smiled a little.

We ran into Al Gore at U of WI Madison, in the student union elevator, which is ancient. He was there for a Doyle for Gov rally and boarded our elevator to go up to the top floor. We were just speechless. He turned to each of us and warmly shook our hands and said he was glad to meet us. Very open, friendly man - so cool to be that close to him.
