Seymour 1st Selectman violates FOI Regulations
1st Selectmen Koskelowski, Selectman Conroy Jr., Selectman Putorti and Town Counsel Temple violated the Freedom of Information Commission regulations by recommending the adoption of a second set of rules regarding the photographing of meetings in Seymour. They never rescinded their first set of motions and now have two sets that are conflicting. Also, the agenda item did not specify they were scheduled to vote on a new, or revised, set of rules. These politicians really don't know what they are doing!

Obviously, the Republican Selectmen are intent on preventing the public from watching their incompetence in action at Selectmen's meetings? Are they afraid citizens will ask embarrasing questions during Public Comment? What are they hiding?

Resident Frank Loda recently filed a complaint with the FOI Commission on the first change, and inquiring reporters were advised that the Town appears to have acted inappropriately. Is this why they made a second attempt at establishing new and restrictive rules? Another complaint is in the process of being filed to request the latest actions of the Selectmen be declared "null and void." There will also be a request to have additional fines levied against these Selectmen because of their decisions to deliberately legislate regulations that are in conflict with statutes and federal laws. When will their arrogance stop? Most of all, when will Koskelowski tell us who agreed to make the Town reponsible for the recent $6.2 million dollar lawsuit award?

3. Update: audio tapes mysteriously lost, official minutes do not match
actual events, public video tape shows real events.

FOI filed.
