Anyone else sick of hearing about Lamont's "country club" membership?
Edited on Sun Aug-06-06 09:28 PM by Nutmegger
Ugh, come on, the MSM keeps repeating how he use to belong to this "predominately white country club" - just what the hell are they insinuating?!:grr:

I'm sick of it.

1. Connecticut is a predominately white state
As our most states, no?

4. Bull, it's racist fucking organization
and it is their right to exclude people like Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and me.

I'm disappointed in Lamont for being a member, but still support him as he's not a racist.

2. It's a very "exclusive" club
and the major exclusion is money.

It's very expensive to join and the fees are enormous!

Which is the main reason it's predominately white.

But they're trying to use anything they can to discredit Ned.

3. You know just what they're insinuating
I knew the Lieberman folks would wait and throw this one out in their last gasp.

I heard the words "restricted club" used a while back -- with those insinuations.

It's a nasty one. Really below them.

7. It can have backlash, too
I was at the polls this morning, and a woman told me that she was undecided until last night when she heard Joe's commercial about Ned's country club.

She was so turned off that she decided to vote for Ned.

8. I think that was probably part of the reasoning behind making
this "revelation" last minute. But yes, I agree. I also think going nasty was a bad move on Malloy's part, as well. Those commercials probably cost him far more than they brought him. (And I don't really have a dog in that hunt -- either would be fine, as far as I know, and certainly better than Snow White).

6. That whole area is rich white people.

A couple of years ago there was a brouhaha about black people not allowed to swim on the beach near Greenwich, CT. Just this year I think some black/ hispanic wives of sportstars who live in Greenwich were discriminated against.
