3. Second that emotion
Go, Connecticut!

If you do this for the rest of us, we will be forever in your debt.

Democrats who have been kowtowing to this administration will finally be held accountable. We have one Congressman in particular, in Massachusetts District 9, who should be afraid, very afraid. Hear that, Stephen Lynch. If Lamont takes Lieberman down, he may even debate Phil Dunkelbarger.

4. Report from a local polling place
in windham center, turnout has been steady. Plenty of Ned supporters, some I'm assuming Lieberman supporters since they wouldn't talk to me as a Ned worker. So far so good! Now I'm back to it!

7. I just returned from mine
there was a steady "trickle" of voters.

Most of them parked in front of the entrance, and the Moderator wouldn't let me give out palm cards there. As no one was parking 75 feet away from the entrance, there was no point in my staying, so I left.

I'm going to Lamont HQ now to make GOTV calls.

Lebkuchen, are you an ex-pat or a German by birth? Just curious; we spent 9 months living in Stuttgart and miss it! :hi:

16. We actually lived out-of-town at the Uni
About 12 minutes in by S-bahn...

I miss... good coffee. Tiramisu. The cleanliness of the city. Always having something to do. A culture of self-accountability. Lack of fear of the human body. Speaking German. Seeing and learning something new every day. Public transportation. Travelling. Zimt Chips. Pear yogurt. Kaesespaetzle. Local wine.

I could go on, but that's the gist :) I often think about moving back, but we'd have to secure jobs first, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable walking away from my social net, now that we've got a child.

We'll see.

8. Newington Pols were busy
Although it was mostly old people. I assume many of them are Joe supporters. There was a Lamont lady with a sign out front though. The funniest thing was that the Republican side had nobody there, but the Democrat side was steadily counting away the votes.

9. "the Republican side had nobody there" - why should they?
The snark answer would be that the GOP is well represented by Joe Lieberman and his army of College Republican thugs and white supremacists. Why would you expect to see any Rpublican action today - is there a GOP primary today too? I hadn't heard of one; I thought they'd annointed Mr. Gambling Addiction as their candidate at the GOP state convention.

18. The cold war with language
It ,s ahilling and even chilling day today, more killing over there, the middle east, no definitive or clear mission, the overhead theme carry on at all cost.

Does the former vice presidential candidate except the weight of what at all cost is costing us in lives and what it will cost in wellness and in recovery of all those that return?

Has anybody ever confronted Mr. Lieberman with the facts?

Or does he even really care to think about that?

Leave the senator justifiy his position befor the public.
If he thinks he can.

He hides behind the mask of deception.

As the nation awaits the decision of the good people of Connecticut.
