SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. --
Three people are dead after a shooting in Lake Mary Thursday morning, Seminole County sheriff's deputies confirmed.

Deputies said the shooter turned the gun on himself after the shooting.

The gunfire erupted at the intersection of North Sundance Drive and Holbrook Circle in the Lakewood at the Crossings subdivision, which is near Lake Mary High School and Greenwood Middle School, but authorities said the schools are not involved and classes are continuing as normal.

Seminole County Sheriff's deputies have secured the area and set up a command post while they investigate the shooting.

Guess that's why the helicopter was heading north as I drove to work down I-4.

I'm sure my daughter and her friends will be talking about this for weeks...happened about 5-10 min. after classes started.
