1. Don't Know If This Will Help, But Checked The WTBS Web Site & It
said that all games will be on TBS and can be heard on 620 WDAE AM. What that means is up to you because I was just looking this up for my husband. Seems DISH & FOX are having some financial battle over extra fees and he was upset that DISH didn't cover games last week.

He had to go to a friends house to watch on Comcast I think. I don't do baseball myself, I'm a tennis person.

Anyway, that's all I found, but there may be more, but I was just checking TV for him and that's all I saw.

2. A belated thanks. The last game of the regular season wasn't
on 620, but that may have been due to a conflict with football. Today's game was painful to listen to.

3. Yeah, My Husband Wasn't In The Best Of Moods At Dinner... But He
said they haven't been playing well. Time will tell! My guy lost his tennis match today too. Just finished watching it.

What's so weird about this sports stuff for me is this. I've been so "down" about politics and what is happening in our country these days, that I've turned to watching sports or other programs to keep the stress down. You know what? Sports creates a lot of stress too. I mean if the team/person you want to win loses.

And here's the real kicker... other than entertainment it doesn't cost me a thing, for the most part, and the athletes are getting paid sooooooooooooo much money!

I don't know why I added that comment, guess it's because it was a bad sports day too!

The Rays still have some time so maybe they can rally and at least TAKE TEXAS! Funny, I used to live in TX, and now FL... how's them apples for picking political messes??

Sorry for the rant... guess I'll read a book for a while and go to sleep! I think the sun WILL come up again tomorrow!!
:silly: :eyes:

4. Before I moved here I thought the political stuff in Carl Hiaasen's
novels was poetic license. Little did I know.

I have been distracting myself by trying to replace the 41,000 tracks I had in iTunes before lightning got my computer a while back. Everything was backed up someplace, its the someplace that keeps me busy.

I wish the sun was up before I was.

5. you call that a rant?
Edited on Sat Oct-09-10 03:07 PM by onethatcares
 A rant is that team trying to take a large piece of our waterfront and turn it into a rich mans playground for kids making obscene amounts of money for a fricking game they supposedly luv to play and would do so for free if the owners weren't so damn greedy as to require them to be paid millions of dollars so they can buy our waterfront and build obstentatious (????) pieces of crap that block the views of the average citizen to those waterfronts. Then telling the citizens they were only fooling and didn't really want that piece of land anyway. That self same rant would include the fact that we, the citizens of St. Petersburg, were pitched a piece of crap by the local paper that this is a baseball town and it is a requirement to build a state of the art facility that would remain the idol of the rest of the country of baseball teams at least until 2020, that is, until they require a better state of the art facility in order for the owners to force the overpaid players of a game to accept unbelievable amounts of money to play a game they would play for free if they weren't forced to accept this obscene payroll amount. Otherwise, said owner, players and administrative staff would have to whore themselves out to the other town in the area in order to keep the balls rolling. I say, Don't let the door hit ya where whoever you believe in split ya.

So here we are, the guys that play the game don't need a stadium. They need a grassy field with 4 bases and a pitchers mound. Bleachers in the sun for those that want to watch. After all, it's just a game..........................................Right?

editted for spelling I think
