Just early voted in Hillsborough County, is this legal?
Just early voted and I was required to not only show a picture ID along with my voter ID card but I also had to sign a waiver stating that I wasn't illegally voting?

This struck me as fundamentally wrong so I asked the poll worker about and she said "IT is the law".

Is it?

If not can somebody direct me to a resource where this kind of activity can be reported?

2. Yes, it is legal
I had to do the same thing when I voted in the primary in Miami-Dade County.

What exactly is fundamentally wrong with this?

4. You have to sign your name before you vote

You probably didn't read what you were signing. Most voters are in too much of a hurry to do so.

6. i signed on the line next to my name as i have done for years.
the list was the same as it has always been. perhaps it is not done everywhere. mine is a very small community of long term homeowners and people with winter homes. no way illegal immigrants could afford to live here.

5. I've always had to sign the book and show either my voter ID card...
or a photo ID. I've not had to show both though. Signing the book of registered voters is standard and it's been done in Florida ever since I started voting here 12 years ago.

7. Cup your hand to your ear and you will hear the banjos.
They should be able to site you statute if it is the law.I was not asked to show my registration card just a photo ID.The signature on the waiver is compared to one on file and if it is not "exact" then the vote is questioned.Who decides exact,if you do not use your middle name like before is that grounds for purging? After voting I dropped off some aluminum at the ghetto scrap center and the level of service and accuracy was the same.

Even worse was the "straw poll" question which was nonbinding (Should poice enforce adult use laws fully).First,I am not there to play fantasy football and second, who picks the questions and what limits the quantity and stupidity. This is pornography in that it takes something important (ballot) and reduces it to pointless amusement. The supervisor of elections in Hillsborough county was appointed by Jeb,I would like to know why the conservatives who reappointed him have such a narrow definition of pornography.

8. It isn't the Supervisor of Elections who decide nonbinding questions
Those are usually placed on the ballot by the city commission or county commission.
