The Hitler Youth finally found me out in the sticks |
|
I live out in Covington, GA (outside the metro Atlanta area) in a quiet subdivision.
Last night, the two Kerry/Edwards signs in my yard and the one 2 houses down from me were vandalized. Some "artist" spraypainted Bush all over the signs. At least they didn't kick mine in like they did my neighbors.
I finally got a taste of what many of you are going through all over the country. I'm proud to join your ranks.
I've decided to leave mine up, just like they are, so that all my neighbors can see how "enlightened" Bush's supporters are.
I guess some people just don't handle defeat very well, as this happened the very next day after Bush got his ass handed to him by Kerry. What was it that the Repugs told us in 2000?? Oh yeah, GET OVER IT! And I might add, get used to it. The times, they are a changin'....

I'm in Fairfax County, northern Virginia. We're about 55-45 Kerry and mostly professionals. I put a sign up and with a couple of days, we got a hand written piece that said "Contribute to Kerry" and when you opened it said, "Poopie" with an American Flag. It was obviously done by a child (on his/her own; with parental encouragement; or by an adult trying to look like a child). It was so sad to think this is how they do it. I mean, really, they push their women out front to take the blame for the big ones, e.g. Condi, now they're using their kids. I'd love to see Bush lose in GA. Keep the faith.

3. I'd give anything for Bush to lose here |
|
GA has added about 300,000 voters to it's rolls. It's up 50% from the 2000 election. I've been working with a group that has been walking every precinct of Democratic areas in the state registering voters. I do hope the Bushies are in for a rude awakening the evening of Nov. 2.

5. you could always put up a clever companion sign |
|
like rethug fox watchers are afraid of honest elections and freedom of speech with a big arrow, OK, so I am not that clever but something along those lines. It sure would make me smile really big if I saw something like that on my drive home.....

I had my first sign stolen and have my second one out now (I'm in Athens, GA) ...just sitting and waiting.... I am hoping if anything happens,it will be vandalized instead of being taken so I can leave it up!
