Might Eric Shinseki ever run for office?
(First time poster on the Hawaii board for me here...)

He is a Democrat, and wou;d be a fine candidate for governor or senator sometime in the near future.

1. There's been talk about a Shinseki candidacy for years
but no action. A good time for him to run for governor would have been this year, when the repuke incumbent cruised to victory against an obscure former state legislator, who was all the Dems in this otherwise Blue state could come up with in terms of a candidate. :puke:

As for the Senate, yes, Inouye is getting on in years (Akaka was just re-elected) -- but Rep. Neil Abercrombie has had his eye on the Senate for years (and was he pissed when Rep. Case challenged Akaka in the primary!).
