Hey, I'm going to Molokai next month
Can anyone recommend some interesting things to do? I've been to Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island before, but Molokai is a first for me.

I'll be there for a yoga retreat, and we'll be doing about four hours of yoga per day, so they will have to be short trips. I hear there is an ancient temple there, and we would like to visit it. My friend said it's only accessible on foot or by some kind of wagon.

Thanks, everyone! I'm really excited about the trip.:hi:

3. Molokai -- my favorite
Check the internet -- lots of information

Pau Hana Inn -- good food and nice place to stay

The link above probably has the eco tour you might be interested in.

Always, always be sure to take a tour with someone who really knows the island -- even grew up on Molokai. These guys are fantastic story tellers and will give you a peek into the old Hawaii.

Lucky you -- Molokai is my favorite island -- the Big Island is my next favorite island.

9. Just wanted to follow up on my trip
I got back yesterday and loved it!

I didn't care for the weird private facility where we held our retreat, and I did get stung by a giant centipede in my bed... however, other than that, Molokai was fantastic!

We visited Kaulapapa, went snorkeling, took a sail to Lanai, kayaked, did a whole bunch of yoga (like 20 hours' worth!), hiked, and I spent one night at the Molokai Ranch.

Had a great time. People in Hawaii are so friendly. Can't wait to go back - I hadn't been there in a long time. Thanks for the advice on things to see, everyone! :loveya:

12. Ack! I HATE CENTIPEDES!!!!
I CAN'T STAND THEM!!! I always warn my friends from the Continental US aboud centipedes when they come here. Perhaps I should have done that in this thread.

How long were you out of commission? Those things are killer, especially if they are huge!!!

My uncle always stays here when he comes to Maui. The best part of the year is when the Jacoranda trees are in full bloom - their intense violet color wakes you up when you see them :-)
