Getting pretty excited about this! I've never been to D.C., and I can't think of a better reason to go. Looks like great weather for a little stroll through the Capital, huh?

15. Hi, travel partner!
Sounds too hot to me, but we'll be okay. Start thinking about what you want to see most, since we only have a few hours Friday afternoon and some time on Sunday before we leave as long as we're not too tired from Saturday. I don't know if we really have enough time to do any museums as they should be done, but I figured you'd want to at least go to the monuments.

See ya Friday morning!

Every time I've had the opportunity to do so, I've felt like I'm with family.

It's so cool.

I can imagine the picture threads the week of September 26. LOL.

13. weather forecasters are often wrong here in DC area.
So you can't put too much stock in the forecast this far ahead.

Fall and spring really are wonderful here, most of the time.

Also, it's been unusually dry for the last month. About half of the days have been humid but several recent days have been really pleasant with lower humidity. It would be nice if it would rain hard for a couple of days and then clear up for you. Mid 80s or lower, with low humidity, should be very nice. There are lots of trees in the city so you should have shade if it's not too crowded.

It's going to be too hot, but it won't keep me away. It's so hard to dress comfortably in that kind of heat, but I guess I'll have to deal with it.

27. You'll just have to wait and find out.
If you don't like the heat, he will help to keep you cool. You don't need to bring a spray bottle. I think Mr. Misty has a friend I can bring along for you. I'll get the two of them packed.
Getting more geeked with the passing of each day. See you Friday morning!:bounce: (tell me I didn't just use the bouncy guy...oh, dear!)

21. I WAS Hoping For Something Cooler.... I Live In Florida And
high 80's is more than I want. Low 80's sound so much better since we've had such a HOT HOT summer here! With so many people, it may just feel like the 90's!

I want SNOW! Just kidding, but lived in the south so long, guess the heat gets to me sometime.

25. Warning to all: BRING YOUR SUNSCREEN!!!!!
When we first did this DU at the protest stuff back in Oct 2002 the day started out actually kinda cool. But by midafternoon the sun was a-blazing.

At the afterparty there was someone's wife (I think it was BenBurch's not 110%) who switched from a V-neck teeshirt to a scoop neck for the evening. She had a massive red V on her chest.

I know I'll have my hiking backpack with me that has plenty of the sunscreen in it!!
