On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.


RSVP • Silent Vigil for Peace

This silent vigil for peace has been held weekly since October, 2002, on the West Lawn of the U.S.
Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. We stand for an hour in silence, under our blue banner, which
says, "Seek Peace and Pursue It. Ps. 34:14" The vigil was started by Quakers, but welcomes everyone.
Please note that this is a vigil, not a demonstration, and that all are welcome to bring only
themselves and their hopes for peace.

American University's College of Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Council is organizing
the War Speaker Series, a 7 event series organized to bring thought and discussion about
how war impacts life in a variety of ways.

Director Laura Poitras will be in attendance, and will answer questions after the film.

will demonstrate five ways you can change Congress. In one weekend, FCNL will model effective
citizen lobbying techniques, brief participants on bipartisan bills currently debated in Congress,
and help students organize real lobby visits on Iraq to move these policies towards the promotion
of peace and justice.

We are having a drum circle in front of the capitol, at the encampment to stop the war site
starting on March 16th, calling for the impeachment of Bush based on War Crimes.
We will play all night long. Saturday, we will participate in the March on the Pentagon,
Saturday night, drum circle all night long in front of the pentagon.

Sunday, starting again at the encampment site, Leading into monday, another all day drum circle.
Come join us while you wait to lobby your congressperson! All instruments welcome.
