New Air America Lineup in DC -- Where's Stephanie?

I was in my car, tuned to Air America (1260 AM) last Wednesday and Thursday. Instead of hearing my usual Stephanie Miller Show, I heard a rebroadcast on both days of the same Lionel Show.

I checked again today and still no Stephanie! I looked up the station and could find no email address to object. Instead I found the Lionel Show is on several times a day. He doesn't impress me very much. He's OK, I guess, but I feel he is being crammed down my throat.

I want my Stephanie back!

I noticed they also got rid of Randi Rhodes. What gives? Now Rachel Maddow is the only female they have left.

I used to listen to WMAL. As they were going more and more conservative, they got rid of the Stevens (female) half of Stevens and Core and then, later, when they got rid of a talk show host I really liked, Victoria Jones, I quit listening to the station. They dropped the women to better appeal to their wing-nut listeners.

Why is WWRC, DC's only progressive station, dropping the women?

Is it just me or is Lionel on like 8 hours a day now? Last time I listened he was on in the evening, and now he's on in the morning as well. I was bummed they got rid of Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes.

I think you can hear Randi Rhodes on 1500 AM now though, which used to be Washington Post Radio, but now appears to have changed to some kind of bizarre bi-partisan talk lineup - they have both left- and right-wing shows.

I don't know if my car radio would still work in the evening if I had to listen to Bill O in the afternoon.

3. Seems like it's a hodge podge of stuff.

They even have Tony Kornheiser on. I might actually listen to that in the mornings, if I am not into Bill Press.

4. I think that Victoria Jones is now part of the Tony Kornheiser show of 1500 (3WT).

At least she is on right now when David Burd is hosting (I don't know if she will still be on once Tony Kornheiser comes back in January). Here in Baltimore, the 1260 AM signal is really weak in the evening, so I have a hard time listening to Rachel Maddow - who is one of my favorites.

Hey, what happened to 1280 in DC? I don't live there so I can't check, but their web site is down. I'm bringing this up since my idiot conservative friend sent me this article: Liberal talk radio dies in DC today. The f*ckers are cheering in that article.

Is it really true? IF so, what happened?
