if you can withstand the heat, the crowds and the hassle of leaving after the fireworks show. So if you're going to the mall, the best advice is get there early to secure a nice shady spot.

Generally speaking...not the hotel/street.
If it's close to the Mall, go there and walk back. We were thinking about doing it but we'd rather wait 'til we have President Obama rather than President Stumblebum.
