Even with all the new technology?
I loved voting "Canadian Style" with a paper ballot and a pen. How cool was that?
The poll people were just in love with the touchscreen, I said I'd never use it, can't trust your computer in your house to work, why would you trust these?
The optical scan machine swallows the ballots, kind of scary...
Hey Lou!!! Camaro is SOLD. It makes me sad.

Your in the 3rd Paulie? I got to vote paperstyle in ground zero - the 6th.
How long has the camaro been sold? I bet your loving your Prius. Especially when we see $3+ for gas this summer.

And I wake up to Lipinski still there, how depressing.
Sold the Camaro a couple weeks ago to someone that is in that club. It has a good home, may show on TV. :)

However, Hastert has strongly signaled that this is his last race. I don't know who the R's would dub as his successor as a candidate, but I'll bet you'll be hearing the names Rauschenberger and Oberweis thrown around a lot.

8. Uber-wise? From Senate, to gov, to the House? |
|
Maybe he'll run for chief of septic tank inspections next. Being such a shitty raker of muck, that would suit him. So much money, so little brains.

9. Anyone know total (R) votes for 6th? |
|
I was just trying to get a handle on how party affiliation is trending in the 6th district.
The Dem primary vote total increased from 30,000 in 2004's primary to 32,000 yesterday. The 2004 Republican primary vote was 50,000. Yesterday's Rep. total for DuPage was 44,547, but does anyone have the district figure?

10. The numbers for the 6th District in Cook County are here |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 12:46 PM by minvis
http://www.voterinfonet.comRoskam got a little over 5,500 votes in Cook County precincts of the 6th District so it looks like it was the same as 2004.

So, it appears the district is trending Dem. It still may be an uphill struggle to win this seat in an off year, though.
