Does Joe Shannon want to WIN IL 13?
http://www.josephshannonforcongress.com/Pages/Events.html

Geeze, Louise!!! Out here on the edges of IL-13, no signs, no events, no fliers, no commercials, no Joe Shannon! He DID get the Naperville Sun's endorsement, but that was for the primary. The GE will be Biggert. :banghead:

So, where is Joe Shannon? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

2. Thanks, Mo
I knew I could count on you for the skinny. Do you know if he has a campaign manager? I only get the answering machine at his office...never seem to get a real person.

5. The DCCC would only help Auman if he raised a
certain dollar amount before the end of 2005. I think it was $100,000, but I am not sure.

He did not get the money raised, so they wrote him off. They did not stop to think that our population out here is much smaller, and still dropping, due to job loss. We did not even have that many people who could afford to give the maximum to Kerry in 2004.

Mr. Aumann is the former mayor of Galena. He did not have a campaign manager until recently, or a website. He allowed someone to put up a questionable website called dumpdon.com. People tend to distance themselves from that sort of thing, especially if the challenger is an unknown newcomer.

I like Dick, but he needed the help, and did not get it. 50-state strategy my ass. Help the strong but not the weak is more like it.

4. i was just thinking the same thing--i was looking on his website
tonight

found this...
630.408.8472
Joseph Shannon for Congress Committee
3540 Seven Bridges Dr.
Suite 150, Box 133
Woodridge, IL 60517

i wonder if he has an office set up or is the room empty?

on the other hand, i just went on carol dicola's website (i talked to her at heritage fest in downers grove tonight) and she is looking for volunteers--and her website is pretty stark as far as events & news, etc.

http://www.caroldicola.org/

maybe a lot of candidates just don't have "events" scheduled yet

7. I'm about ready to show up on his doorstep!
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 12:25 PM by Norquist Nemesis
Or walk into his law office and ask him face to face, "DO YOU WANT TO WIN?????!!!!!"

Frankly, I see absolutely NO reason why he isn't out and about seven days a week gaining exposure and name recognition. It doesn't cost him a dime (short of gas money LOL!) to go to one of the big box store parking lots and shake hands. There's plenty of those around here! Same with knocking on doors in ANY neighborhood! :banghead: Get someone who gives a positive response? Sign them up for hosting something, volunteering, canvassing, put them to work! GEEZ!!! If he gets out there, the dollars will FLOW!!! And the beauty of it is, Judy's doing NOTHING! (Can you tell I'm upset about it?)

Sorry, Joe. You can't expect to put out your sign sparsely among polling places the day of the election and expect to win. It's not going to happen.

edit to add: BTW, have you tried contacting his law offices? He needs a big kick in the pants, or something!
