Brothers and Sisters we have a vet running for State Rep. |
|
His name is Dirk Enger. This is one of the two Veterans who help bring the Midwest Homeless Shelter into being. Dirk has helped with all Returning troops. He help me get a Marine who was being treated like garbage 100% PTSD this is the first 100% Iraqi Vet Case. He has stood the line against Bush's veterans budget cuts. He has gone to Washington and made speachs on the Capitol Hill. This is a top 10 Marine and a Great Progressive Democrat.

6. Yep You know the last time |

He stomped more for Kerry then himself. I have knowen Dirk for a very long time. Did you know he foght for a Marine that was denied his PTSD case. We stood up for this Marine and stop the banks from making him homeless. We fought and now he has 100% PTSD . First case thats been granted to any of the returning troops. Dirk fights everyday for veterans and the troops. He Even went to Washington to bring the case of the veterans Cuts to the for front. He help pass the Veterans lottery ticket. I would fight along side this man any day.

He's a great person. I often wondered why our leadership didn't try and draft him to run in the 6th if they were so hot to trot to have a different candidate. He lives there, has some name recognition from his previous run, he's a vet and has built up relationships with much of the community. Seems like it would have been a pretty obvious choice.
I signed up to volunteer with his veterans' shelter a while back.
