PEORIA--- Paul Thompson, the author of the definitive 9/11 Timeline (published by Harper Collins as “The Terror Timeline”) will introduce the film 9/11: Press for Truth Saturday, September 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the Basement Auditorium of the Main Downtown Branch of the Peoria Public Library, 107 N.E. Monroe Street (corner of Monroe and Main across from the Federal Building). The film will run at 3:50 p.m. and Thompson will answer questions and discuss it with the audience at 5:15 p.m.. The program is free and open to the public.



The film, 9/11: Press for Truth, chronicles the lobbying efforts of five members of the 9/11 Family Steering Committee (also known as the "Jersey Girls") to establish an independent commission to investigate the attacks. In November 2002, an official 9/11 Commission was formed. But it was underfunded, powerless, and rife with conflicts of interest. Its final report has been widely criticized for its omissions and distortions of the evidence.



9/11: Press For Truth, in presenting the families’ story, stitches together rare, overlooked news clips, buried stories, and government press conferences, revealing a pattern of official lies, deception, and spin. The film highlights the Jersey Girls' discovery of Thompson’s 9/11 Timeline and how they used the facts presented in it to eventually publicly repudiate the 9/11 Commission's work.



The film showing is part of an all day 9/11 video screening marathon starting with Dave Von Kleist’s In Plane Site at 10 a.m., Dustin Mugford’s 9/11 Revisited at 11:25 a.m., Jason Bermas’, Dylan Avery’s, and Korey Rowe’s Loose Change 2 at 12:35 p.m., John J. Albanese’s Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime at 2:10 p.m., Thompson’s introductory remarks at 3:30 p.m., 9/11: Press for Truth at 3:50 p.m., and questions and answers with discussion by Thompson at 5:15 p.m.. The 9/11 video screening marathon continues on Monday, September 11, in the Basement Auditorium with Michel Chossudovsky’s War and Globalization: The Truth Behind 9/11 at 4:00 p.m., Questions/Answers video with Chossudovsky at 5:00 p.m., and a video interview with Chossudovsky at 5:30 p.m., USAF Lt. Col. Robert Bowman’s Indict for Treason Those Responsible for 9/11 at 6:10 p.m. and Alex Jones’ TerrorStorm at 6:50 p.m..
