1. dear pat
you have been in a position from which you could do a lot to clean up illinois politics. it has been quite a while. why haven't we heard anything from you until now?
good thing i had no expectations for you. they have been met

sincerely,
an educated voter.

2. "Lt. Governor" in Illinois is pretty much a ceremonial position with little power,
with the possible exception of giving him opportunities to approach the public via local media.

5. pat quinn is an idiot. he maneuvered what i consider to be one of the worst
changes in state law, ever. he was behind the change from 3 house member districts in the state, to one member districts. this is the direct antecedent of the sorry situation in which we find ourselves today.
we used to have a state house that looked like illinois. now our state house looks like dc. 2 party monopoly. well, really one party- the party of the big dollar.
really, not many folks remember those days. but we had socialists. we had all kinds of characters in those third seats. and a robust legislative body.
quinn pushed the ever popular money button, and ginned up people's dislike of elected officials.
as was predicted, things only got worse. and here we are.

he is an empty headed loose cannon. and as phony as a $3 bill.
