Ok, time for a new poll after the latest news. I included the names I've heard mentioned at least twice.

1. It will be interesting to watch how this plays out.
The last time I saw Dan Hynes it almost felt like he was starting to stump for Governor. To be fair, that was when Blago was still around so Dan may well have modified his plans by now. I do think he'd run a wonderful campaign--so I'd be ok with him as a nominee. Kev worked for Dan in the LAST Senate Primary, I'd be amazed if he didn't help him again this time around. (I worked Obama in that previous race, so our household was kinda "different" that year.)

I had also heard those same rumors about Alexi maybe running, and I'd be ok with him in that Senate race too. I know a couple of folks that I respect a great deal that will probably support Alexi in a Primary--he might be a candidate I'd take a serious look at. (On a personal note, Material Girl was at a breakfast with Alexi and they formed some kind of a super bond. I mentioned to her that I'd heard he was maybe gonna run and SHE is ready to rock and roll. I remind you all, she is soon gonna turn 12.)

Jan is another person I like a great deal. I'd be fine if SHE runs. Same thing for Lisa Madigan--and I'd have zero problems supporting her.

Truth be told at this point I am wide open to who might run--as long as it is NOT Burris.
