Here's hoping we get someone better than Daley this time.

2. Turnout seemed really really light in my precinct this morning |
|
We moseyed by at a little past ten am and we were the only voters there (it's a combo of several precincts, too). We cast our votes and fed them into the machines, noticing that we were only votes 51 and 52. Yikes, that is "primary" like turnout.
On the way back, we passed a neighbor on the street. You going to vote? we asked. "Oh, is it today? I totally forgot!" she responded. She then said she forgot who our alderman had endorsed. We told her that besides mayor, there was only one contested race, for City Clerk, and we reminded her of the name that was endorsed. She said, "Okay" and ran off to vote. So that's 53 votes. Hope it picked up at lunch and after work.

3. I'm lucky I have one of the most liberal alderman Scott Waguespack |
|
the machine ran 3 candidates against him trying to force a run off and he walloped them all and got 66%. So I'm happy. Mayor's race we gotta hope things will turn out ok with Rahm.
