Some reasons why I still like Blago |
|
Sure the guy has a lot of problems but there are alot of reasons why I can vote for Blago.
1: I am disabled with Parkinson's. This is the biggie. Thanks to Dan Hynes and Blago Il has become a leader in stem cell research. Personally I need that research for a cure, I would give a nything to be able to control my legs and hands. I owe Blago so much for seeing that legislation thru.
2: Social Security - again as a disabled person I am dependent on what little i recive on ssdi. Blago was against the bush privitation's plan.
3: He's a democrat - I know he aint perfect but look at the corruption going on the other side of the aisle. Denny H is now linked to Tom Delay and George Ryan put up t he whole state for sale. And At least we see eye to eye on most social issues.
4: Pharmicist for life crap. Blago put a stop too it. Pronto.
5: Blago has not been convicted of anything. He may be corrupt but I wont judge it untill theres actually been a conviction. Besides our papers are burying him so bad whatever wrong doing he did is just here say.
6: I dont want to see us go red. I dont want to see shawn hannity's red and blue state map on tv or du and have a big red stain where a beautiful blue patch was.
So inconclusion is Blago perfect, no. But until we get another democrat to run against am not going to trash blago and give fodder for the enemy. Anyhow this is just how I feel and I had to jot it down. So come election time I will put a Blago sign in my yard. If nothing else the man wants me to walk. :) Have a happy day Danny.

I'm with you on this one, for many of the reasons you've stated so well.
For me Blago working towards insurance coverage for all of the children in Illinois is a major reason for him to receive my vote.
Cheers!

7. I'd add flu shots to the list too! |
|
Last year when there was a flu shortage, he took immediate action to take care of Illinois citizens. Unfortunately, the Bushies held up the cargo and it became a costly screwup. But I give him credit for taking action!
