The mandatory Pledge of Allegience bill... |
|
Oh, boy, guess they needed a break from the mental masturbation of DST...
Like I wrote to my GF this AM... "Indiana bill to REQUIRE recitiation of the Pledge of Allegience in schools is moving along...What a bunch of crap. The pledge to the flag, homo weddings, daylight wasting time, and how much more money can we get from smokers. What a prize bunch this Indiana legislature is!"
And it's true. Harrison Ullman wasn't just jackin' around when he named them "The World's Worst Legislature" and "House of Bubbas"...
See what happens when you start to believe that someone is fit to create and administer the Laws of your state, just because they own the biggest Car Dealership or Grocery Store in the county?
Bunch of dumbasses. I guess when you're trying to bring about Corporate Fascism, who better to do it than a bunch of ReTHUGlican "Successful Business-Leaders"...

3. Hopefully there will be a few principled kids |
|
like Carlos somebody from my HS in Jersey in the late 60's. He took multiple suspensions rather than say the pledge, saying it was his was of protesting the Vietnam was. He did stand up out of respect, but refused to say the words. I'd support any of my kids that did the same!

Odds are those kids who do resist will be turned over to the Mental Health Authorities as "Troubled". Gotta get 'em on drugs before they put on a black trench coat and kill 1/2 their classmates, don'tcha know...
Oh, and a FLAG in EVERY schoolroom, too! I remember we had that back in the 70's. What happened? So who gets to pay for that one? The House of Bubbas think they're Dumbya, handing down un-funded mandates like that...

5. I think a flag in every classroom is appropriate... |
|
After all, we are mostly talking about public schools that are paid for by the government. I used to feel pride every time I saw the flag in school... until B**h took office.
I believe it is appropriate for classes to recite the pledge, but people should NEVER be forced to stand up or recite it. What does reciting it mean when you don't want to do it?

Maker 'em stand up and say it enough, and they'll believe it, or at least learn to not question what they disagree with anymore.
Just like "Zero Tolerance". When the kids go into the real world after 12+ years of that bullshit, they won't have a dissident bone in their body. just Obey Giant, Shop, and Gawd bless our Holy Warriors....
