Daniels chooses state senator as running mate
GOP gubernatorial candidate also wants to create commerce post for Vera Bradley executive

INDIANAPOLIS -- Searching for a running mate, Republican gubernatorial candidate Mitch Daniels narrowed his possibilities to two, then offered top jobs to both of them.

Daniels chose state Sen. Becky Skillman of Bedford as his choice for lieutenant governor, and named Fort Wayne businesswoman Patricia R. Miller for a proposed new post of commerce secretary.
