Statement from a freeper about Baron Hill |
|
I work for the Census Bureau--probably the largest employer in the 9th district. A freeper told me yesterday that Baron Hill's election meant bad things for the Census Bureau because Hill is anti-census, a waste of money and would like nothing better than to shut it down permanently. Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject?

1. What will he be able to do about it? NADA |
|
Unless he has a cadre of other Representatives supporting that issue it isn't going to happen.
Officials in municipal, county, and state governments will crush him on it. The census determines how government funds are spread out to those agencies. Am I right about that?
If Hill does support that he needs to get his marbles together. Most likely your freeper is the one missing his marbles or playing with you.
Sometimes you need to step back and think about what someone tells you. In your case, you work for the Census and know the necessity of the Bureau.

2. The hysterical freeper outbursts are almost comical |
|
There was talk at a local bar that Hill was going to stop the new Madison-Milton bridge. "Just you democrats wait and see." Yes, it's all downhill until they can get "christian" Sodrel back in 08. Poor misguided freepers.

3. I was never a fan of Baron Hill, NAFTA and globalism supporter |
|
but as we all know, or should know by now, a bad Democrat is far superior to the best of Republicans. In this past election I was rooting for Hill to beat the useless and CAFTA supporter Sodrel, and I am glad that Hill won.
