Ok, so I finally got an iPod (thanks Callie!) and so I am looking for any can't-miss podcasts that y'all might subscribe to.
So far my favorites are Mosaic (a compilation of headline news in the Middle East), the NPR Daily, and NBC/ABC news broadcasts. This Week w/t George Snuffleupagus and Meet the Press also broadcast which is nice..
So what do y'all listen to?

2. OK - Seth here is something new & different and free I believe |
|
I have a friend in Iowa City who started this little site for some different listening pleasure. Dennis Roseman - a died in the wool Dem if ever there was one. Try it on for size: http://www.cornsong.com/And of course there is the Stephanie Miller show, which I happen to think is the funniest thing around: http://www.stephaniemiller.com/subscribe.php Steph costs money.

I'll check out the cornsong website... I am trying to stay on the free side for now. I know once I start paying I'll be buying all kinds of craziness.

5. Harry Shearer's "Le Show", Bill Maher's HBO show ... |
|
... and the "Best of the Left" are free and may be of interest.
Shearer offers news from outside the U.S., on the war, "Apologies of the Week" and some original songs. HBO serves up Maher's show plus stuff cut from the show for time and "Two Minutes Maher" - commentaries by Maher. "Best of the Left" typically has a theme for each show and is made up of audio clips about the topic from various radio and TV shows.
"The Stephanie Miller Show" offers a fee-based podcast, but does have some free segments available through iTunes. Her show is quite funny with some brilliant satire - she is able to get legislators, reporters, candidates, etc., to loosen up in interviews in a way few others can. The free clips don't really expose the strengths of the show, IMO.
And some public radio - "This American Life", "Future Tense", "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" and "Car Talk."
Helps with the commute and walking the dog.

That should keep me busy for a while!
If you haven't checked out Mosaic (a video podcast free through iTunes), do so! I like the different perspective so far (ive only watched two episodes, but still).
Thanks again.
