Who died?
I saw flags at half mast in both West Branch and Iowa City today. I can't imagine they were lowered for Bill Buckley. So who else died?

1. Army Spc. Chad Groepper, 21, of Kingsley who died in Iraq
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 08:33 PM by pstans
Here's the most heart breaking part...

He leaves behind his wife, Stephanie, and their 4-month-old daughter, Clarissa, who was born just four weeks before he came home on leave last year.

2. Thanks so much for your reply.
Yes, unbearably sad. When will the killing at long last end?

4. Thank you for posting all the names progressoid
I wonder, also, how many soldiers' lives have been irreversibly altered b/c of injuries. What a terrible waste of our most valuable resource. :(

5. And many of those who come home with no physical injuries
Will carry serious emotional "injuries" that will be life altering as well.

7. I hear ya
I suffer from PTSD, I was lucky enough to have a strong support group here for me. There are a lot of vets that come home to nothing, and the VA Healthcare system is really messed up and underfunded.
