Just heard 2 of Harkin's potential opponents on The Exchange

on public radio. OMG - Steve King clones - couple guys named Eichhorn & Reed. Lordy, lordy they had all the right wing talking points down. I only heard the last half hour, but I am sure the first part must have been just as bad.
Illegal wiretapping is OK for our safety, 4th ammendment did not include digital transmissions, no growing of human beings for spare parts (embryonic stem cell research), no special treatment for gays etc. Hardly a sliver of difference between them. Both claimed they represented the average Iowan.
At the end both said that they would be very proud to have George Bush come campaign for them!

According to them Harkin is out of touch with the average Iowan but they are not. Um, I am an Iowan, pretty average, and, believe me, no way I could vote for either of these losers. They sounded somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun to me.
