who did you vote for in the primaries today? |
|
I live in CD 3, Senate District 30, and House District 59. All the democrats running were running unopposed with the exception of the senate seat where I voted for Conlin.

but ended up voting for Roxanne Conlin. My son and I heard her speak in Waterloo on Sunday, and I think she has the right ideas about how to go about this race and what to do in the Senate. I also think she has the best chance of getting the money and media attention necessary to beat Grassley, I think she's our best shot at this Senate seat. The statehouse seats in my area (Cedar Falls) are all held by Democratic incumbents.

2. believe it or not I crossed over |

to vote for BVP. I just cannot stand Branstad. I often think of his years as governor as Iowa's lost years. I talked to another friend who did the same.

4. Democrat Primary Voted |
|
I voted for Bob Krause for Iowa Senate candidate against Chuck Grassley (the ancient). Bob Krause is a fine example of a democratic leader who is against big monsanto and wars without end. Since, the senate seat primary was the only democratic contender in this primary election, I took the time to write in my votes for republican side challengers to our corrupt democratic counterparts (incumbents) such as write in vote for Mark Reese against (Corrupt) 3rd district representative, Leonard Boswell (D). Leonard Boswell is now 77 years old and running for his eight term of office. In my opinion Leonard Boswell is an empty shirt that does nothing but vote party line, take PAC money, backs Israel's corruptions (AIPAC), voted against peace in Aghan. bill sponsored by Dennis Kucinich (H.Con. Res. 248 - War Powers Act, "Directs president Obama to remove troops in Afghan within 30 days of enactment or by Dec. 31, 2010 should such removal be deemed hazardous to the troops" voted down 356/65). Rep. Leonard Boswell (D) has not even spoken in front of the House of Representatives a single time this year. I feel so completely unrepresented by this man and will vote republican (for 3rd district house) in the hopes of unseating this createn.

5. true. My second choice after Boswell would be Rees |
|
Rees sounds like a sensible guy who can cooperate with both parties in congress. He kind of reminds me of Jimmy Leach.

7. I actually voted last Saturday |
|
I voted last absentee last Saturday because I had to work all day today.
I voted for Roxanne Conlin because I thought she did the most outreach to people, and because I thought she had the best shot of unseating the Grassman. So I was glad to see that she won even though any of the three would be a better Senator than the lawn mower guy.
Aside from that the only race where I lived that was a contest was for Iowa Senate District 13. Roger Stewart is retiring after this year so there was a four way race between Brian Moore, Ed O'Neill, Paul Feller, and Tod Bowman. I voted for Brian Moore, but I'm fine with Tod Bowman.

8. I voted for Tod and Conlin. |
|
During the debate I saw, Tod was the only one who didn't throw out some right wing talking point. He is a Dem all the way. I voted for Conlin because I thought she had the best chance to oust the lawnmower man.
