Local GOP head spouting off about values
Edited on Sun Oct-24-10 12:46 PM by 47of74
Also in the TH was this editorial written by the local GOP head about values.

We, The Midwest Political Party, believe:

* That hard work is a noble task that leads to self-worth, self-reliance and many other great things in one's life.

* That hard work should be celebrated, not punished, and that those who choose to avoid it do so at their own peril.

* That we as individuals live within our means and likewise we insist our elected officials at every level do the same.

Living wage, respecting people who don't worship in the same manner as he does, respecting those who have different choices when it comes to marriage, those aren't any where to be seen in this editorial. I bet anyone who didn't support Bush and the GOP pissing away money on Iraq was an un-American traitor as far this guy was concerned.

This whole article really turns my stomach. If there's one thing I can't stand it's self-righteous Republicans mounting the soapbox to spout off about values.

1. Answers
Can't speak for others but as for me and my friends, we have jobs. We work hard. We get paid. We try not to go too far into debt. That means paying bills on time every month, going to discount supermarkets and so on.
And as far as family values, I'd prefer that my children just do the best they can and be happy in what they do. Also help out those who may not be as fortunate as we are. They are not in jail. They know right from wrong. As do I.
So the teahadists, repukes, whatever can kiss my ass when it comes to having a corner on "values".

2. We also lend a hand when a person is down
and try to make things like community parks, education and yes healthcare available for everybody.
