YAY! I just got elected to
the board of the Equal Justice Coalition here in Topeka. I am so excited to be a part of this group. I just wanted to share. I will let you all know when things come up, hopefully there will be a lot of moving and shaking going on. Any ideas, let me know.

5. Good luck
I just saw a bumper sticker tonight that read something to the effect of...

"Bigotry is alive and well in Kansas"

I sincerely hope that statewide changes are afoot in the near future; 71% of the voting population as bigots is not good.

8. Thanks.
I think we only deal directly with Topeka but am hoping we can make contact with coalitions in other cities. I am too new to know exactly what their exact plans are but whatever, we can affect some part of this state anyway.

7. Good luck
it's a tough job standing up for fair and impartial treatment, good luck to you, you are doing a very valuable thing, they are too many willing to trash the legal system to serve their own political agenda.

10. Good going
From everything you have posted (that I have read) you seem like a great choice. I congratulate you on being in a position where you can help change the hearts and minds of people in Topeka.

I don't envy where you are doing it but anything I can ever do to help just let me know. My car is fixed and I am now able to travel out of town. I can also help spread the word in Lawrence.
