Radioactive Tank No. 9 comes limping home (to Kansas)
Edited on Sun Nov-20-05 01:39 PM by MuseRider
Here is the link from GD.

They are here and I have seen them. We need to make some noise. If I am not mistaken this has not been talked or written about here in Kansas. I sent the link to the governor and some friends of mine who work for her to see that she knows about this.

Edited so I don't sound like a dope, lol

1. Kick!
This is important. Let's contact our media and our elected representatives.

3. Let us know
what happens. I have not heard anything. I did drive by that place this morning and they were not there anymore if that is indeed what they were. Probably they just moved them where they can't be easily seen. One other thought is that they moved them across the road to Forbes Field where the National Guard is.

6. Well the freepers I like to debate
on that other board are all working up a sweat trying to convince me the stuff is perfectly harmeless. LOL

I asked if they would mind having this railroad car in THEIR neighborhood. One said no it wouldn't bother him. Which leads me to wonder, maybe he has already been exposed?

7. LOL
most likely he has been exposed to a lot of things. I don't know how dangerous they are just sitting there, I am unsure and have not had the time this last week to look it all up. I do know it is very dangerous if it is in the air. I would assume touching it would not be safe either. I wonder if the danger is mostly when the train is moving and the stuff gets jolted around. I just don't know but I do know they should not be uncovered and just sitting around like that. Hopefully I can educate myself about it after this weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving!

8. I'll cut and paste his comments for you
Later - I have to go cook now. I am cooking at my mom's house. I thought it would be so much easier but it's turning into a hassle. She has no cooking tools at her house. So I am driving back and forth. Thank goodness she lives closeby - and my new car gets good gas mileage.

Have a great turkey day Muse :hi:

Are you cooking?

9. That sounds like
a major hassle but you do what you have to do. I will actually be in Prairie Village for Thanksgiving at one of my husbands cousins house this evening.

I actually miss cooking for the holidays when we do this, it is perhaps the only time I really enjoy cooking. That is why I usually insist on Christmas at my house, it is just fun.

I am not even going to ask why you are having to drive and do it at her house. Either she is not able to transport well at this point and you are being a saint or she is just like my mother was and just simply happiest when she is making everyone else jump. Whatever it is have a happy day with your family.

10. Wow I my mom's is in Prairie Village
at 72 and Belinder. It would be cool if we could get together.

My mom wanted to have Thanksgiving at her house. I didn't want to clean my house and it was my turn to cook. So I am okay with this arrangement.

If you get this before you leave for PV, and have time, call me.

11. Well, considering the few places I know
how to get to there I can't really tell you how close it is. They are a few blocks west of 88th and Roe. Other than that I have no clue. I have your number and you have mine. We are not leaving here until about 3:30.

Clean you house? Perish the thought!

12. You will be only about 2 or 3 miles away
10 minute drive - tops. My mom lives east of Mission, which is east of Roe.

We are eating at 5:00.
