Does anyone else have a problem with the Bluegrass Film Festival being dedicated to D.W. Griffith? I mean I know that he was born in Oldham County and was a revolutionary film maker, but I find it somewhat disturbing that they are going to dedicate the whole festival to him. And on the website it doesn't mention any of the controversy about him, which I think it odd.
I also don't think Oldham County should have a film festival, but that is just my Jefferson County superiority speaking...

2. I presume Bluegrass Film Festival because it is taking |

place in KY, not because of music.
Is it the 100th anniversary of something DW Griffith did?
Just wondering.

D.W. Griffith was a major catalyst in making the KKK respectable. His film encouraged millions of Americans to join the Klan. By supporting Griffith, Oldham County is supporting the Klan, fuck both of them.
