upset after return to Louisiana (graphics)
I'm listening to 'Through the Wire' at full volume now. Kanye looked right into the camera and said what he had to say. I've got momentum now.

The first thing you see when you enter Texas from the LA side on I10 is a BIG-ASS star at the tourist info place-

To the left of the entrance, I saw this-

I talked to this guy for a while-

He said that he talked to a lot of people the night before. Hurricane stories are heartbreaking shit. I thanked everyone there sitting in the heat. The mantra 'you'd be doing the same for us', rang true. They really wanted me to take at least a bottle of water, but I don't need it. Someone else will need it.

Hey AnninLA, Carencro (as you can see on the front of the bus) is on the job.

I took this one somewhere before Beaumont. I honked the horn and he honked back. See the kid above the 'SC'? I hope he's sleeping well tonight.

Here's why I'm messed up right now. I've got pictures like this-

These are six empty ass busses. followed by at LEAST 20 more empty ass school busses. The school busses were from Houston, it said so on the side.

Here's six empty Greyhound busses going West back into TX-

empty. I hope I'm not assuming wrong, but did these people drive 700 miles round trip for nothing? Did these drivers take their Sunday driving to hell only to get turned around?

On the way to TX I saw Coach USA busses, various other unknown tour busses flowing from west to east - hoping, assuming they are going to New Orleans. The only thing I saw on the way home were three of these-

Dear FEMA, please don't screw with people's kindness.

1. Thank you very much for posting these pictures.
Where are those U.S. Customs and Border Protection cars going? Why?

3. FEMA requested their presence Sunday afternoon..
Via the scanner, I heard them

a> tell Houston that their school buses were no longer needed, that they could leave LA

3> they were talking about "where are the coach buses"

4> and asking for the Border Patrol people. They were told Border patrol was on their way.

5. If I was in a major disaster
and FEMA showed up, I'd tell them everything was fine just to get their sorry asses to go away. Bush managed to create a $5 billion a year disaster relief agency that does more harm than good.
