Bush and Putin will meet in Kennebunkport in early July
WASHINGTON — With U.S.-Russian relations under heavy strain, President Bush and President Vladimir Putin will meet July 1 and 2 in Kennebunkport, Maine, administration officials said Wednesday.

"It´s an opportunity for him and President Putin to continue what is always, for the two of them, candid and very honest conversations about things that matter," Bush spokesman Tony Snow said.

Bush´s father, former President George H.W. Bush, has an oceanfront compound in Kennebunkport, and the two leaders will meet there.

The session comes at a time when many experts say relations between the two nations are at their lowest point since the Soviet era.

1. What a joy!
The evilness quotient of Kennebunkport will be off the charts on those two days.

2. How vile, to have that man in my state.
At least he won't be in Bangor. A couple of times he's shown up at the airport and his nearness gave me the creeps.

4. How nice...
Wonderful of them to come up here and disrupt right in the middle of tourist season. Doesn't Crawford in July appeal to them? I didn't think Bush the Younger came up here much anymore,a situation which I would be glad to see continue.

8. I received an e-mail today about the impeachment protest on July 1.
My husband and I are planning to attend the protest. We live in the Belgrade Lakes area. The protest sounds very well organized and they are expecting hundreds, if not thousands, from all over New England. There will be a lot of press coverage, international and domestic, so hopefully the protest will be shown on the news. The commander guy saw protests in every city he visited this week and he will see more at home. For those of you in New England, please seriously consider coming for the protest. You can get more information by going to www.maineimpeach.org.

We will also be going to the anti-war protest on August 25 when decider man is vacationing in Kennebunkport. The summer looks to be interesting.
