McCain to visit Maine next week
Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, will be in Maine next Monday for several campaign fundraising events in Kennebunkport.

A $2,300-per-person reception and photo opportunity with former President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush will be held at 11:30 p.m. at Walker's Point on Ocean Avenue, according to the candidate's campaign Web site.

A $1,000-per-person private reception with McCain will follow at noon.

A $500-per-person general reception with the senator will be held at 12:30 p.m. at The Nonantum Resort, also on Ocean Avenue.

Supporters also may participate in a round of golf at Cape Arundel Golf Course for $5,000 per person. The Web site doesn't specify whether McCain will be among the VIP golfers.

I read that W and Jeb will be at the golf outing with Poppy and McCain. Remember when the Fuckwit said he had given up golf as a sign of respect for the fallen soldiers? I guess that's changed now.

1. He probably thinks he's golfing for the troops.
And not despite them.

2. do you think he's fit?

I see him in a news clip this week and he seemed unstable as he walked. an aide grabbed his arm once when he stumbled. maybe the pace of campaigning is catching up.

4. As fate would have it I am going to be driving up to Brunswick on Monday...
Visiting your beautiful state for vacation and stopping at a friend's in Brunswick on the way to Bar Harbor. I should be driving north into Maine just about the time all the hooplah is going on. I'll be sure to wave my middle finger in the general direction of Kennebunkport as I pass by on 95.

I really want my vacation to be a nice one, but if it has to rain, I hope it's on Monday so their chipper little garden party and golf outing gets rained out.

5. Looks like he will be in South Porland as well...
The Arizona senator is scheduled to speak in an outdoor event on the grounds of the Maine Military Museum in South Portland, which opens to the public at 12:30 p.m.

That appearance will follow private fundraising receptions earlier in the day at The Nonantum Resort and Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, the summer home of former President George H.W. Bush.
