or Susan Collins for that matter. They are what they are: REPUBLICANS. A lot of effort has gone into this by national and state progressive organizations. It's been kind of like the "holy grail" of healthcare reform. What have we gotten for this? Not much. She got to be in the limelight and to look like a "power-player" (which she likely presumes to be a positive in the eyes of the voters although we'll see about that in 2012) and she was able to keep pushing for a watered-down version.
In the meantime there was little attention in the state to Mike Michaud, a member of the Blue Dog coalition which succeeded in watering down the House bill that Nancy Pelosi is introducing. Leaves me scratching my head.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE THINKING OF THOSE IN CHARGE! I KNOW OF TWO SCHOOLS THAT REALATIVES HAVE CHILDREN IN THAT HAVE HAD TO POSTPONE THEIR FLU SHOTS BECAUSE THE VACCINE IS NOT AVAILABLE.
NOW I'M TALKING THE COMMON FLU AS WELL AS HIN1!
WE KNOW THAT CHILDREN PROBABLY SPREAD THE FLU AS FAST AS ANY AGE GROUP! THAT THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET IT THAN ADULTS!
YET YOU SEE PAY FOR CLINICS IN STORES THAT SCHOOLS IN THE AREA HAVE NO VACCINE-TWO ARE SCARBOROUGH AND TOPSHAM!
I MEAN REALLY WHAT IS GOING ON -WHO IS IN CHARGE!
IF THEIR IS A SHORTAGE SHOULDN'T THE KIDS -THE SENIORS AND THE FRONT LINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS COME FIRST?
