LePage is ahead, Maine folk!!! |
|
I love Mitchell as a candidate, but I'm discouraged with Mitchell's campaign. I can't find ANYPLACE online to order bumperstickers and yard signs, and LePage signs are all over the area (I've contacted the campaign and Maine Dems about this already with little reply). We have to work harder at making Mitchell and support for her VISIBLE to people-- so it doesn't look like LePage is a slam-dunk for Maine.
What can we do to get the word out for Mitchell?
- Letters to the editor about LePage's extremism. - Visible support for Mitchell all over Maine. - Talking to independents and undecided voters about LePage and Mitchell.
I just moved back to Maine after not living here for 15 years, and I'd hate to see it go right-wing nut job on me!!

1. I'd hate to see him win too. |

I haven't see any Libby Mitchell signs either. I see Cutler signs and Lepage signs. Repubs headquarters is way more noticeable than the dem one in Lewiston too. I'll haven't checked the website for signs or bumper stickers. I did try to volunteer, but the form didn't let me specify my availability in terms of hours. Also, Libby was supposedly scheduled to be on George Hale/Rick Tyler show this morning, but was a no show. Of course I'm not sure how much that matters because most of the listeners of that show are teabagger types. Yeah, I agree that the campaign could be done a lot better. If her campaign was being run right, I think Lepage wouldn't have a lead right now. I'm just hoping that her campaign starts turning up the heat pretty soon here. I think the Clinton rally will help some, but not sure how much.
