LePage accused Libby in tonight's debate of showing a sign of Bush and calling him a "terrorist."
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 09:23 PM by rbilancia
I was at the debate in Bangor tonight. Moody hit LePage about telling President Obama to "go to hell."
Others piled on LePage. Then LePage looked at Libby and said, " Well I have seen a photo of you today holding up a sign of President Bush and calling him a terrorist." Libby, in surprise, replied "I'm not even going to try to rebut that because I have no idea what you are talking about. I would like you to send me a copy of that." LePage said he would. LePage then winked at his handler in the front row of the audience.

I can't imagine Libby Mitchell doing something like that. She was telling him that it was completely untrue and she did no such thing. This guy has a penchant for making things up. But if he has no definite proof of this, it will bite him back bigtime. He's nuts.

1. Unfortunately it does appear to be true
I saw it (the pic) on the news this morning. But if that's the worst they've got on her, then they are clearly grasping for something... anything. All LePage has to do is open his mouth, and things far worse then that come out.

2. Ah well. Yup. This is going to sting. Disappointing. BUT, it was several years ago, AND the dirt
on LePage is going to start flying now bigtime as it should: Every single radical thing he's ever said, his womanizing, going to strip joints, etc. etc. They need to hit back and HARD if he's willing to start digging for old photos. She should never have done that, but his bag of dirty laundry is a MOUNTAIN compared to her one silly moment.

4. I LOVED the picture
While the news was "breathlessly" showing it, I fist pumped and said "YES--this will inspire the base". Hell, who in the base doesn't think this unholy bastard is a war criminal! I don't think Bush was exactly loved in Maine. NOW, is time to get out all the "fleeing to Canada" to avoid Nam, etc. to the vets and his footsie game at trying to be a FL citizen to get cheap tutition for kids, etc. He's signaled what he's going to do to Mitchell...now pull the goddamn "polite" plugs.

6. Plays fine with the base, but what about the indies needed to win? They don't admire that. Bad move.
