"Voting records reveal Gov. Paul LePage, at least two state senators and seven state representatives have at one time registered to vote on Election Day or during the two business days preceding it. That practice is banned under the new law they all supported."

We already knew Republicans were hypocrites. Now we have even more proof.

1. SUMMERS RESPONSE

I believe this guy thinks he is the only one who can think.
Maine Voices: Nemitz column wrong about voter fraud investigation, Summers says
The current election system lacks safeguards to protect against voter fraud and clerical errors.

By CHARLES SUMMERS

AUGUSTA -- I was intrigued to read Bill Nemitz's column "Overheated or reheated? Fraud claims leave us cold" (Sept. 23) ...What I found was misleading and inaccurate.

....snip
....Mr. Nemitz's version of the findings into non-citizens being on Maine's voter lists was patently false. Information was brought to me alleging that non-citizens may have submitted voter registration cards through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

....snip
...most troubling....is that he feels I should have simply dismissed these allegations -- calling my investigation "a waste of tax dollars."

ACTUALLY SUMMERS YOUR INVESTIGATION DIDN'T SHOW THOUSANDS OF VOTERS VOTING ILLEGALLY;NOR DID IT FIND 100'S OF VOTERS DOING THIS. I BELIEVE THERE WAS A QUESTIONABLE AMOUNT RECORDED IN THE MEDIA (LIKE 39) AND THEY WERE TO FAR BACK TO EFFECT ANY REAL EFFORT TO PROSECUTE!
DO I THINK A QUIET INVESTIGATION NOT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE(PROBABLY IF THEIR WAS ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO REQUIRE IT) I THINK THE INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT THE SYSTEM
WAS WORKING WELL FOR 40 YEARS AND SHOULD CONTINUE! BUT YOUR PARTY FEELS DIFFERENTLY! THAT SAME PARTY WENT TO WAR BECAUSE OF WMD'S! WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE EXPELLED THE MIS-INFORMATION GUYS WHO WANTED WAR SO THEY COULD KEEP ON PILING UP DEFICIT SPENDING!(AND BOY DID THEY DO THAT)
