Sarbanes supports the filibuster!
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/bal-te.alito28jan28,1,2420499.story?coll=bal-nationworld-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=true

Both of Maryland's Democratic senators - Barbara A. Mikulski and Paul S. Sarbanes - have said they would vote against Alito. While Sarbanes supports the filibuster, Mikulski has not stated a position.

===================

This is all the way at the bottom of the article. I called his DC office on Friday and the staffer said Sarbanes had not yet committed to the filibuster. Guess he finally made up his mind. :woohoo:

1. This is good to know.
Thanks for posting it. Hoping Mikulski will to though Sarbanes really has nothing to lose since he is retiring.

2. I called Sarbanes yesterday and complained that
I had called him a week ago and asked him to vote no and to filibuster and then received a noncommittal email from him in response. So I called yesterday and complained about his being noncommittal. I said I wanted a no vote and a filibuster.

Yeah. My phone call changed his mind! LOL
