1. Schaefer's got name recognition
Jumping into the Baltimore Aquarium in a striped 1920s swimsuit with his rubber ducky was a corny publicity stunt, but everybody remembers him. He's the great-granddaddy of publicity hounds.

Franchot will have to work hard to increase his name recognition in order to have a chance.
