Who do you consider to be the worst local radio pundit?
Although Chip Franklin and Ron Smith can (and do) drive me crazy, I have to say that Bruce Elliott is the one person that I can't stand at all.

As you can see, all of these folks are on WBAL...I can't even bring myself to listen to WCBM...of course they have a lot of "national" shows don't they? (Hannity, Rush, etc.)

Man...I really miss Alan Prell!

1. I only listen to WWRC-1260AM.
I can get it nearly up to Baltimore. otherwise I go to ESPN radio. Are there actually any stations in the Baltimore area worth listening to?

2. I try to listen to WWRC, but the signal is pretty week where I work (Catonsville) and where
I live (Severn), but I usually have it on my computer at work. I'm hoping that they will be able to boost their signal sometime soon!

To answer your question - No, there really aren't any talk stations in the Baltimore area worth listening to, with the possible exception of WYPR (88.1) the NPR station. I personally like the Marc Steiner show (local) and the Diane Rehm show (national), but that's about it.

I really liked Alan Prell when he was on WBAL (the only time I listened to the station) but now they are completely RW.

3. Yea, it gets pretty weak by the time you get to 695.
It's fairly good down here in Columbia, at least during the daytime. Forget about it after dark.

6. Not really.
I live in another county so the stations in the Baltimore area aren't all that. It depends on your specific taste.

8. In terms of music stations 102.7 Jack FM isn't bad. But AM stations??? Nothing.

4. I've spoken to Bruce, Ron, Blair Lee, and C4 all on the radio

...

If I had to choose just one, I'd go with Sean Casey on 680 WCBM. The guy never has anything original or intelligent to say. It sometimes seems as if he gets his entire show from the RNC daily newsletter.

I actually don't mind Ron Smith at all. Don't agree with all of his politics, but he does have a streak of independence.

5. I'd forgotten about Sean Casey....is Frank Luber still on the show with him?
The reason I ask is because my dad grew up with him (Luber).

You're right about Ron Smith...he does show more independence that most...by the way, do you have any idea how the Ehrlich show doing in the ratings?

7. I have to say I don't listen to talk radio.
Now that I'm in school in VA, I don't get any MD stations, but I do listen to 98Rock online. Basically that is the only radio station I listen to. I don't listen to the radio much in my car, mostly CDs.
