1. Up to $1.50 where I am....

It was $.75 on Saturday, and $1.50 on Monday...We are no longer in the "Greater Boston" area, but are outside of "Metro Boston".

2. They are dying because the demographic they serve is getting smaller

i.e., the well educated, center-left, newspaper reading, mid- to upper-class whites are leaving the city
of Boston and their children prefer to get their news on the Net.

And considering what you get for each, I'd say the paper is still a pretty good deal.
