End of an era in North Adams -- Mayor barrett out for first trime in 100 years
Mayor John Barrett, who has been serving for decades as mayor of North Adams was defeated in an upset by a City Councillor Alcombright.

Barrett accomplished a lot in his term, but also alienated a lot of people over time. But he had enough of the city's loyalty to win time and again....until now.
